Welcome

You | The Larrymore Story
Welcome
As soon as you drive past the gatehouse into RiversEdge, you notice a
presence and exclusiveness not seen in many new communities of
today. It reminds you of your ideal vacation resort –
green grass, fresh air, greenbelts, nature trails and a shimmering body of water.
But this is no vacation resort - it’s better. Because RiversEdge can be your home.
Unlike many new communities, RiversEdge isn’t wedged between fast food
chains and strip malls. Rather, it’s nestled next to Currituck Sound - known as
a hot spot for boating, fishing and swimming. Add to that the
seventy acres of
meadows, forest, and marshland and you have a neighborhood so relaxing it will make
leaving on vacation hard to do.
In fact, many have commented that RiversEdge reminds them of the way
things were when they grew up. Or the way their parents grew up – a simpler
life where knowing your neighbors on a first name basis was a priority and
enjoying the outdoors was a way of life. So, instead of thinking about how
things used to be, visit RiversEdge and see how things are today on the serene
shores of the Currituck Sound in Currituck County, North Carolina.
What’s Important To You
Your Family
Comes First
For those raising families, you’ll
be pleasantly surprised that the Currituck County school
system has recently been recognized for its challenging
curriculum and modern teaching methods. And, for the family’s
pocketbook, Currituck County’s tax rate is approximately
half of the real estate tax in Chesapeake, Norfolk and
Virginia Beach.
Close To
What You Need
Thanks to the new Chesapeake
Expressway, you’ll find yourself with less than an hour
commute to the Norfolk Airport, Virginia Beach, or the Outer
Banks of North Carolina. Greenbrier Mall in Chesapeake is 30
minutes away and grocery shopping, dining out and banking are
all less than 15 minutes away.
See You At The
Village Green
From the Gazebo on the Village Green
overlooking the Currituck Sound, you’ll
find no better place to take in nature’s colors, hear new
sounds and smell the new scents that each season presents.
This is where familiar faces will become your doubles
partners, your hiking friends, or your fishing buddies.
Community
Activities
At the RiversEdge Meeting House,
you’ll find a tennis court and a children’s tot lot
featuring a jungle gym, sandlot and slides. Or, if you enjoy
golf, there are 5 excellent public golf courses within 30 minutes
drive.
Select Your
Site, Build Your Dream
If you wish to design your home
or if you’re looking to hire a builder to construct your
dream home, RiversEdge is the place to consider. Choose a lot
overlooking the Sound or one resting next to the woods
and nature trails or one adjacent to the tennis court – there’s something for everyone.
Visit RiversEdge where our
marketing associates will give you information on available lot
locations and details about lot financing as well as the
financing of your future home.
The Larrymore
Story
The developers of RiversEdge,
the Larrymore Organization, are no strangers to North
Carolina. The Company developed and managed Finley Forest
condominiums in Chapel Hill, and currently manages Scarborough Lane Shoppes in Duck
(now entering Phase II in its development) and Best Western Ocean Reef Suites in Kill Devil Hills.
RiversEdge is their newest development. Company President Bill
Berger: "We pride ourselves in creative land planning and
offering residents a lifestyle with enhanced amenities at an
affordable price."
It was this company philosophy
which persuaded the Currituck County Board of Commissioners
and the Currituck Planning Department to approve the
RiversEdge development, one of the last to be approved before
the moratorium on development went into effect 2 years ago
Founded in 1948, the Larrymore
Organization has completed commercial and residential
development on more than 2,500 acres in 8 states;
additionally, it has developed more than 7,000 residential
units. Their pride in aesthetics and planning is evident in
all of their endeavors, no more so than at RiversEdge. With
over 60 acres of open space which includes a 2 acre sound
front Village Green with Gazebo, boat ramp and pier, beach
with picnic shelter, miles of nature trails, tennis, tot lots,
Meeting House and more, RiversEdge embodies the Company
philosophy of integrity and creativity in land development.
